Healthcare marketing

Healthcare marketing for medical and mental health practices

Healthcare marketing helps the right patients find your practice and book. We manage the channels that matter most for local practices: your Google Business Profile, local SEO, search ads, helpful content and patient reviews. Every campaign is built to keep protected health information out of ad targeting and tracking.

  • Google Business Profile and local SEO
  • Google search ads for the services you offer
  • Content and review requests done the compliant way
  • Plain reporting on calls, forms and bookings

What we do

The channels that bring local patients to a practice

Most patients find a practice through Google search, Google Maps or a referral they then look up. We focus there first.

Google Business Profile

Complete, accurate profile: categories, services, hours, insurance notes, photos and booking link. We keep it updated and post regularly so it stays current.

Local SEO

Service and location pages on your site, consistent name, address and phone across directories, and on-page structure that helps search engines understand what you treat and where.

Search ads

Google Ads campaigns built around the services you offer and the areas you serve, with negative keywords to cut wasted clicks. Budgets are yours to set.

Content

Plain-English pages and articles that answer the questions patients ask before they book: what to expect, insurance, telehealth and costs.

Reviews

A simple, consistent process for asking patients for reviews, plus response templates that never confirm someone is a patient or discuss their care.

Tracking and reporting

Call and form tracking set up without sending health information to ad platforms. Monthly reports show where calls and booking requests came from.

Compliance-aware

Marketing that respects patient privacy

Healthcare marketing has rules most marketing agencies never deal with. We build campaigns around them from the start.

HIPAA limits how practices use patient information for marketing. In general, using a patient’s information to market to them or others needs their written authorization, and HHS has warned that online tracking tools can disclose health information. Ad platforms also restrict targeting based on health conditions, and some services, such as addiction treatment ads in the US, need extra certification before ads can run.

We are a billing and practice-support company, not a law firm. We follow these rules in our own work and point out risks we see, but your practice should confirm its obligations with its own compliance adviser or attorney.

  • No protected health information in ad targeting, audiences or customer lists
  • No tracking pixels on patient portals, intake forms or booking pages that could send health information to ad platforms
  • Review replies that do not confirm a reviewer is a patient or mention their care
  • Patient testimonials only with the patient’s written authorization
  • Ad copy that follows Google’s healthcare and personalized-advertising policies

We sign a business associate agreement with every client, and our staff are HIPAA-trained.

How we work

How a marketing engagement runs

  1. 01

    Review

We look at your Google Business Profile, website, reviews and any ads you run today, and ask which services and areas you want to grow.

  2. 02

    Plan

You get a short written plan: which channels to start with, what we will change and what budget, if any, ads will need.

  3. 03

    Fix the basics

We clean up your profile and listings, fix tracking, and make sure your site has clear service pages and an easy way to book.

  4. 04

    Run and report

We run the agreed channels each month and send a plain report on calls, form submissions and booking requests by source.

Billing and marketing together

Marketing that fits the patients you can bill

Because we also handle billing and credentialing, we can point marketing at patients your practice can actually serve. If you are in-network with a payer in a state, we can promote that. If you are still waiting on an enrollment, we hold off.

Our longest-running client, a telehealth psychiatry practice seeing patients in 23 states, uses us for billing, credentialing, a virtual assistant and marketing support. We do not publish marketing results for clients, and we will not promise you rankings or a number of new patients.

Pricing

Marketing pricing is a custom quote

We price marketing by the channels and hours you need. Ad spend is paid by you, directly to the ad platform, and stays in your account. You can also have a dedicated marketer who works only for your practice.

Common questions

What does healthcare marketing include?

For most local practices it includes a Google Business Profile, local SEO, search ads, helpful website content and a review process. We start with the channels that bring in booking requests and add others only if they make sense for your practice.

Is Facebook or Google ad retargeting allowed for medical practices?

It depends on how it is set up. Practices should not use patient information or health-related tracking data to build ad audiences. We avoid pixels on patient portals, intake and booking pages, and we recommend you confirm your approach with your compliance adviser.

Can I reply to patient reviews?

Yes, but a reply should never confirm the reviewer is a patient or mention their care, even if they shared details first. We use short, general response templates that thank the reviewer and invite them to call the office.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings or new patients?

No. No one controls Google’s rankings, and results depend on your market, services and budget. We report honestly on calls, forms and booking requests each month.

Who owns the ad accounts and Google Business Profile?

You do. Ad accounts, your profile and your website stay in your name, and we work in them with our own access. If you leave, you keep everything.

Can you market a telehealth practice in several states?

Yes. We match campaigns to the states where your providers are licensed and in-network, and we update them as new enrollments are approved.
